A Free Alternative To The Functions And Settings You Have On Windows Now

The reason behind the existence of the Windows File Explorer is that the developers FreeSoftLabs wanted an alternative to the current Windows explorer function that comes into action when users sort view add or remove files.

Streamline The Way You Sort And View Files

Change your view to single view or side-by-side view. You may switch to file preview mode and make sorting/filing changes. With the current version of Windows you have to set it to icon or details mode in order to change the sort settings or order of the files and then you have to switch it back to preview mode but with Windows File Explorer you do not have to do that. Also if you can get it to work for your version of Windows 10 then there is a big chance that it will improve your file search function (which is woefully slow on Windows 10 files for any computer with less than four cores). If your version of the File Explorer manages to make your file searches faster then it will be the best program you download all year.

Conclusion - Desktop Windows Workers May Appreciate

Many private users may figure "What is the point" in making such seemingly minor changes to the file explorer. Others may like the minor changes and welcome the software. However it is professional persons who use and sort files regularly on a Windows desktop device that will really appreciate the Windows File Explorer. It allows for a level of process streamlining and sorting that is simply not available at the moment.

Windows File Explorer is a file manager for Windows similar to Windows Explorer. But Windows File Explorer uses a different approach: it features many options that Microsoft's Windows Explorer is missing like image preview and it has two fixed file views side by side (but can be change to a single file view) that is useful when copying many files from folder to folder.

  • The preview function on the bottom left is far bigger than standard Windows preview
  • It is tiny change but it may allow you to streamline your sorting and filing process
  • The search function may be improved (which is amazing for Windows 10)

  • Getting it to work on some Windows 10 devices is tricky
  • Some of the functions are not part of Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Such a minor change may be unimportant to some people
